Stars from the world of pop were out in force last night celebrating the 2019 Brit Awards at the O2 Arena. Indie rock back The 1975 were the night’s big winners, scooping Best British Group as well as British Album of the Year. Their album ‘A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships’ fought off stiff competition from Anne-Marie, Florence + The Machine, George Ezra and Jorja Smith to take home the event’s most coveted award.

Other winners included Pink, who got the Outstanding Contribution to Music award, and George Ezra and Jorja Smith, who won Best Male and Best Female respectively.

HyperActive Broadcast hired three Sony HDC-2500 channels to GBL to help get the show on the road – a show described by the BBC’s Mark Savage as “one of the slickest, most engaging Brit Awards in recent memory.” Mark probably wasn’t referring to the moment when brothers Matt and Luke Goss took to the stage, trying to appeal to a crowd who clearly had no idea who they were. “When will I be famous?” they once asked. Sorry to say it, boys, but we think your fifteen minutes are probably up.
