General Summary

Based in our Watford office, the Broadcast Rental Account Executive requires a tenacious Account Executive with the ability to not only meet but exceed their revenue targets through the development of existing key accounts. Although predominantly an account management role, the Account Executive is also responsible for the development of new business through effective lead generation, to achieve a preferred supplier status with targeted customers and clients.   

Gravity Media’s Rental department is at the very core of our business and oversees an extensive inventory of the latest broadcast equipment and technology. The rental team manage accounts including top industry Production Houses, Outside Broadcast Companies and Television Studios. Internally there is close collaboration with Projects, Engineering and Operations to ensure the successful delivery of all facets of our business. 

Responsibilities of the Broadcast Rental Account Executive 

  • Ensure the growth and retention of key accounts in line with budget for hire revenue
  • To maintain strong relationships with clients and customers, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded
  • Monitor customer spend and ensure account debt is kept low
  • Work alongside the wider rental team to ensure clients and customers are receiving the highest level of service
  • To update, maintain and champion the use of the Company’s CRM tool, Salesforce
  • Remain up to date with events and changes in the industry, to maintain credibility and be a point of expertise in the company
  • To reinvigorate lapsed accounts and bring back up to client status, whilst generating leads to identify new business opportunities
  • Highlight key areas of growth and target new clients to continue to grow accounts

Experience Profile:

Essential

  • Previous experience in rental account management, preferably in the broadcasting sector
  • Proven sales ability and managed account experience
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong client management skills
  • Excellent planning and preparation skills
  • High level of integrity and trust
  • Commitment to self-development
  • A keen interest in broadcast technology
  • Experience using CRM tools, such as Salesforce
  • Competent with Microsoft Office packages; namely Excel
  • Commercial awareness
